Answer

What is the pump.fun creator fee?

Short answer

The pump.fun creator fee is 0.30% of every bonding-curve trade, taken out of the 1.25% total trading fee, and it accrues in a vault that has to be claimed rather than arriving in your wallet.

Where the 0.30% sits

Every bonding-curve trade pays 1.25%. Of that total, 0.30% is credited to the coin's creator and 0.95% goes to the protocol. The split is taken at the moment of the trade, not invoiced afterwards.

The creator fee is not a reward for graduating and it does not arrive in a lump sum. It is a thin slice of volume, so what it comes to depends entirely on how much the coin trades — a coin that trades nothing earns nothing.

  • 1.25% total trading fee on the curve.
  • 0.30% to the creator, 0.95% to pump.fun.
  • On a 1 SOL trade the creator portion is 0.003 SOL.
  • After graduation, PumpSwap charges 1.25% below a market cap of about 420 SOL, stepping down to 0.30% at large caps, and creator fees keep accruing there in a separate vault.

Why the number is small on most coins

Most launches never produce meaningful volume. 68.67% of tokens recorded their last trade on the day they were created and 80.37% were dead within a day, so the fee stream for a typical coin is a handful of trades and then silence.

The fee is settled in SOL out of each trade rather than in the coin, so it does not depend on the token's price holding up. A coin that trades sideways still pays its 0.30%; a coin that stops trading pays nothing at all.

Read the fee as a share of activity, not as income. Nothing about the 0.30% implies a coin will trade, and the base rate says most will not.

  • Only 0.198% of launches graduated in the May–June 2026 sample, so coins that keep trading are rare.
  • Unclaimed fees sit in the vault; they are not paid automatically.
  • Fees accrue from trades, not from the coin's price rising.

What the fee is not

The creator fee is not deducted from your wallet, does not touch your first buy and does not require you to hold tokens. It is credited against the fee recipient recorded for the coin when it was created.

Nor is it a graduation bonus: a coin that reaches the 85.0054 SOL line pays the creator nothing extra at that moment. Migration costs 0.015 SOL and changes the venue, not the creator's share.

Anyone can read the rate from the published fee schedule rather than take a claim from a Telegram group at face value. If a promoter says the creator fee is 5%, the published figure is 0.30%.

  • Not charged at creation — creating a coin is free.
  • Not a subscription and not subject to a minimum.
  • Not adjustable after launch.

Related questions

Is the creator fee 0.30% or 1.25%?

Both numbers are real: 1.25% is what every trade pays and 0.30% is the creator's share of it. The other 0.95% goes to the protocol.

Does the fee change after graduation?

The bonding-curve split is 0.30% creator and 0.95% protocol. After migration the PumpSwap fee schedule applies — 1.25% below about 420 SOL of market cap, stepping down to 0.30% at large caps — and creator fees accrue in a separate vault.

Do I pay the creator fee on my own buys?

Yes. The trading fee is charged on every trade on the coin, including the creator's own.
